Kalahari: Women and their quest for the perfect man

 

The other day, I was listening to a conversation between a few women that I am aquainted with.  They were all successful in their own rights:  2 lawyers, 1 accountant, 1 lady had her own business, another was a  school teacher, another was a waitress of some sort and the last was a “big time” manager in a major hotel.  Their ages ranged from 26 -36, all making good money, independent, successful, yet all single, (i.e. not in a long term relationship, or involved for morethan a year), except for one. Exactly which one doesn’t matter.  Any way the conversation questioned:  Where are all the good men? The response was, there are none, and if there are some left, they are either married, gay of have issues.
I was disappointed and hurt.  For there are all kinds of single and decent men out there and I was in disbelief that they could not find not even one.
So I questioned what was the criteria that they are looking for in a man?  And they responded:  average height 5′9″ to 6′1″, (well that cuts me out, (smiles)), well built to muscular, very athletic, successful at whatever job he is employed at, however, making in the 6 digit range or able to purchase extravagant gifts every so often.  (hmmmm)  Has his own house, or a nice apartment, own car, (the type of car didn’t matter), well dressed, he must love and respect his mother, nonetheless, not be a momma’s boy.  He must be church oriented, however not a fanatic.  Their man must also be deeply in love and devoted to them.  So, I concluded, what about just having a man who just loves you?

Kalahari: Question regarding whether horror movies are being used by the devil

Just wanted to know your input… I personally love a good horror, even though I enjoy thrillers even better, however, of late I have notice that a few horror movies have a spiritual twist in it.  There are chants, the usage of bible scriptures, and the old latin language flowing throughout the movie…I just wanted to know if you think there may be a plot by evil forces, to corrupt us via the movie screen?

Kalahari: Excerpts regarding Christians sexuality

Just wanted to know everyone’s opinion on ‘Christian people’ having “kinky” sex….Its a topic that was discussed in one of my circles, amusingly a church sect concerning whether oral sex is something that Christian people can take part in.  I know oral sex isn’t kinky anymore but you know how that is.  

 
…So the conclusion on this topic, is that God does not stipulate what is accepted and what is not accepted in bed for Christian couples?  So all the oral, the strange penetrations, the whips, the candles, toys and even manual stimulation etc can be accepted? 
 

Then the Christian gay concept:  Gay but not practicing is also a possible concept.  You know hate the sin but love the sinner.  If we all have sinned, and continue to sin, its possible for a gay Christian, practicing or other wise to set the moral principles for us all.

 
Then that would lead who should set our principles society or God.  I think society is watering down Christian principles in order to become politically correct.
 
I would find it odd to know that my pastor, has his wife performing hmmm, and having her endure certain penetrable pleasure pains.   Its just well, wrong or just kinky to say the least.  Then again, go pastor, spank that a**

Kalahari: Comments on America being pro homosexual

One Gay America!
Has anyone ever noticed how ‘gay’ America really is, or is becoming?  It is obvious that there is a gay agenda.  First there was the ‘don’t ask dont tell policy,’ which seemed alright as one, can at times tolerate the uncertain.  (Consequently the Army changed their policy, to accomodate, people’s indiscrections).  Then there was the hate the sin but not the sinner campaign, which shook and corrupted the church.  Any Christian who stated outloud that homosexuality is an abomination, was characterised as ‘UNCHRISTIAN!’  (Consequently, the Church changed their policy, to accomodate, people’s indisrections).  Can you imagine, sinners dictating to Christians what is acceptable to God and what’s not. 
Now there are gay preists, in fact gay churches, that serve the Lord, and we say nothing, as we fear to be called prejudice.  Now there are gay schools and openly gay politicians and even scholarships.
Now San Francisco, a city that already is known for its gay activities and promotions is performing gay marriages.  Again we look the other way, as we say it’s just them. But, can you imagine if their decision on this topic stands?  Gay couples from around the world will venture there, to later contest their own city and state law.  If marriage is a sacrament to God, and if man deem gay marriage is legal.  Will the gay marriage too be a Sacrament? As the act is still holy.
 
When will it stop, how far will it go.  I fear that evil exist when good men say nothing.  We we are not saying anything.  Therefore evil thrives.  In the next 5 years, it will be a natural thing to hear that your son or daughter is gay, in fact we will to accept that it is the norm. 
We all will agree that the world takes it cue from the United States.
It is so sad to see how Gay America really is….

Kalahari: Question regarding condoms being distributed in prisons

A few years ago a senator, in the great country of the Bahamas, raise an important issue.  He suggested that condoms should be given out to prisoners in the local prison.  As you may assume, there were many objections to his idea.  His idea was dismissed and was deemed as being rediculous.  But my question is, was it?  Apparently there is an Aids scare in the prison, (i have no facts to support this), but let’s say that this is true, and apparently many prisoners are engaging in homosexuality.  Sex in prison should be an impossibility, but apparently it happens.  I guess we all see movies and know what happens in prisons now a days.  So if sex happens, and the Aids virus is present, should the prisons have the chance to protect themselves?  However, if condoms are giving out, aren’t we consenting to gay sex, and sex in general in the prison.  What do you think?

2nd Write Up on “Fattening Up Frog For Snake”

“Fattening Up Frog For Snake” is already breaking records in Nassau. There have been books stores who have had to reorder extra stock due to the enormous demand.

Book stores’ managers are enthusiastically pushing the books sales. Stores are calling the book a ‘phenomenon,’ due to how fast this Bahamian book of poetry is actually leaving the stores. “Fattening up Frog for Snake” is being described as a must read book of poetry for the summer.

In fact, tourists down town are overwhelmingly delighted by the book’s cover and name. “Fattening up Frog for Snake” has been complimented as being one of the better books of poetry originating from the Bahamas.

Currently, the book is being considered for introduction into the Bahamian school curriculum. The book is already in most of the book stores and libraries in Nassau and steps are being made to ensure that the family Islands are not being left out.

Write up on ‘Fattening Up Frog For Snake’

Once again, Cecil Newry has graced the Bahamas with yet another spectacular book of poetry. ‘Fattening up Frog for Snake’ is a must read collection of poems that contains strings of vivid, passionate and thought provoking verse. Who will cry for Haiti. 
The bastard child of Africa,
her ill begotten son?
Who will cry for Haiti,
the living seed of revolution
symbol of slavery undone?

a country poverty stricken and black faced?
Who will cry for Haiti, a neglected dieing race?
Juneau, you asked who will cry for Haiti
and extend a helping hand
My answer to that is simple: no one,
we shall stick our heads in the sand…

and wait for Haiti to help itself.

Letter to Christian and Obediah

Subject:  Such email isn’t funny any more

Christian,

There was a time when I considered myself lucky, perhaps privileged even to have been included into Obie’s chronical of emails entitled ‘dialogue with Dr. Keith Russell.’

At first, I thought I was included accidently; for clearly, the email between you and he seemed to have been one of a personal nature.  The wording seemed casual and sentimental regarding a concern, better yet a ‘matteroffact’ issues amongst friends.  Due to that, I dismissed the entire chronical and only took notice when I had once again been “pivileged” to have receive another forward, regarding the same subject; however, the apparent malice intepretation of something I thought was of a trivial subject matter, forced me to respond, again casual in nature, as I had yet to realize that the email was a chain of responses.

What I had responded is not important, as I am sure it is on record some place in cyberspace, for all to read now.

Upon realizing that the emails are a chain, I was intrigued and enjoyed the jousting of opinions.  However, it has morphed into something more.  It is no longer the furry, big eyed, cuddly creature, that we found in the bog in the woods…it’s now a monster that may devour us all.  The creature is feeding off egos, and it is swelling as newbies to the subject matter throw in their two cents: judging and misjudging on a subject, that was never even intended for their eyes.

I say, that the innocent querry amongst friends into whose degree is authentic or not, has been publicly answered and all who had doubts, no longer bare them.  Moreover, the question of should there ever have been doubt, is a matter of opinion, for all public figures will have detractors.  That is the nature of life and politics.

So, let us close this chronical of emails before the creature comes to our homes for dinner, and suck us down like that transparent, slimey conch thingy that the old folks say is good for the Bahamian man’s back and stamina.

Let us all remain friends and poets alike…
