1) How do you feel white Bahamians are treated in the Bahamas?
(Not white people in general but white Bahamians; I trust you know the difference unlike some people I know.)
2) Does the wider public ignore their contribution(s) as Bahamians?
3) Would you support “Democracy Rule Day”?
Let us know; we want to hear.

Would I support democracy Rule Day?
I pesonally would be down for that if it would encourage white Bahamians to participate more in general Bahamian affairs. It is obvious that the term “Majority Rule Day” and even the interpretation of the flag colours and independence day have kept white Bahamians at bay. (I ain’t blaming no political group for this…but that one with the okay sign guilty of this).

Simply put, white Bahamians scared of ve black Bahamians! Why? Because white Bahamians aren’t Bahamian enough. They lack that hue….laughing…Apparently, its the hue that makes ya Bahamian…

But we shouldn’t be concerned…in another 15 to 25 years, white Bahamians may be accepted. More of them will join the police force, immigration and customs, more will join into toursim and become waiters and maids in hotels and even more of them will participate in junkanoo. (In fact, it has already started). But that’s if they remain weary weary quiet….

Black Bahamians always claim that white Bahamians are rich and they don’t need any help…however, the majority of them are poor bastards just like us, paying the same cable bills, and wondering why there is a water shortage and why BEC always cutting off their light. (check out dem set who live on and off Shirley Street, and even the set in Fox Hill, off Johnson road, some of them poor as fart).

But don’t forget there are some of them, only about 6 families who so rich that it seems as if they all over da place. (They own all of Bay street and most of the Eastern Road, man they even trying to buy up all the land off East Stree and Market street, trying to extend down town). But they may be all over the place because they own every thing.

Some ask: Will there be any white Bahamian heroes…well there haven’t been any yet? But don’t worry, we plan to promote Sir Durwood…If Durwood were black and the roles were reversed… Black Americans would call him and uncle somebody…just for being nice…but that is another story. I am glad we ain’t no Black Americans.

And the last question…has white Bahamians contributed to Bahamian development…see that one is a loaded gun…The easy answer is yes….but the ultimate question is: have they contributed enough. Sure they try to help the stray dogs, and save the environment and they attend all the plays and sponsor all the Pintard poetry books….but what about standing in the hot sun on bay street with posters rowing the gov’ment…what about the soup kitchens ova da hill…what about the fry on sundays…and celebrating ‘mancipation day…crap, I betta be quiet, I don’t do that fart either…sshhh…lets change the subject.

Poor white Bahamians, well I am not sure if they discriminated against…but I know that they all used their international passport: their colour and that by itself gets them into doors I an educated black man may never see.
