Bahamas Issues: Number Racket in the Bahamas

Truly, the government of the Bahamas must be in cahoots with illegal gambling; as every day, these number houses apply and are granted licenses to operate. There are web shops on every street corner. In fact, opposing number houses set up shops right next to each other. There are number three number houses down town, one on P.I. and two on the cable beach stretch…not to mention the hundreds that exists over the hill. These number houses are now paying national insurance for their workers. Clearly, these number houses are legitimate!

If any of our Governments past and current had balls they would tell the christian council to do the best for them and shutup and allow a legal “lottery” system to be established. But then again I ain’t know who gonna run it cause I don’t trust none of them that are there currently anyway. Ahh well…. guess I’ll finish my last 2 Kaliks as I think this one through some more. Lol

Thanks Diarra for responding. I am amongst the few who believe legalizing gambling in the Bahamas has nothing to do with the Christian Counsel. The Christian Counsel is being used as a scapegoat to shaddow the real persons/the real power players who do not want gambling to be legalized. Illegal gamblig is a multi million dollar industry in the Bahamas. Powerful well connected Bahamians are in charged of these rackets. These persons grease the pockets of particular politicians during their campaign and money shortages. So in order to continue to ample money machine, gambling in the Bahamas will always be illegal in order for the money to continue to flow.

If in deed it were the Christian counsel who is responsible for blocking the legalizing of gambling, the government would have done one of those hidden agenda thingy, like what they did with passing the law that homosexual acts are legal without telling the public.
