Bahamas Issues: Combative Spirit within Bahamian Politics

Combative spirit in Bahamian politics

Oddly enough, there are some politicians who have sheer nerve to boldly criticize Bahamian teachers in public, concerning their negoitating tactics in regards to their contract with the government. It seems as if certain politicians are wearing horse blinders when it comes to their own faults.

I for one find it humourous that not a word was mentioned when Leslie Miller had a heated row with a foreign investor which almost came to blows. I find it peculiar that not a thing was said, when Neville Wisdom threatened that gentleman over not being allow to play golf free in Exuma. Not to mention that again nothing was said when Koed Smith cussed out Ivonne Ingraham in parliament square as he was entering the honorable House.

It seems as if what is good for the goose is not good for the gander…It seems as if Bahamian politicians are able to cuss out, threaten and insult whomever they wish at will. But oh, let anyone else confront them, or protest about ill treatment, they shout foul, citing the need for them to be good role models for the Bahamian youth. It just seems as if some people need to get fired!
