www.bestwordsmith.blogspot.com: Response to Obie poem chastising Dawn
Obie, it seems as if you have upsetted Dawn; her feelings are beyond hurt, she appears to be hurtED. I sense it through the gall in which she speaks/writes.
Once, again, your exchanged of public intellectual debate has threatened friendship: has caused a ‘romance’ to end in bitter verbal divorce.
Perhaps in time, this too shall pass. These ramblings reminds me of that chained email where Christian was the victim. I remember he too was vex at your public exchange of criticism. Perhaps in time, they and in this case Dawn, will understand you better. In time, she will appreciate that you write/share your feelings openly for the world to see and to read, so that we and you become better: better writers, better people, better artists.
In any event, I hope this heated expression of words too shall pass. Moreso, I hope it thrives on your wonderful blog, allowing other readers/writers to view and to experience the effects of words and to appreciate the publicity of it.

Mad As Hell
of D.V.H.
is this someone trying to create
a new imperialism
wanting to impose upon us
all over again, an English
or Canadian Weltanschuung
haven’t we our own,
aren’t we attempting to find it,
dust it off, polish it up
she is suppose to be of us
is she insider or outsider
she’s mixed up mentally
I prefer what Haitians bring to the table
to her imperial bull shit,
bull shit she’s trying to bring back
I thought we’d gotten rid
of that perspective
I thought we’d taken that flag down
governor general’s daughter,
a traitor, attempting
to hoist in our midst
the flags of other nations
she’s spent time in
a decade here, a decade there
she needs to decide upon nationality
pick a nation and cling to it
she needs to find the city of sense
the seat of understanding
and sit in it, shut up and knit,
plait straw, shell peas or peel potatoes
her words most certainly
do not plant seeds
do not make things grow
