To hell with the Church
Yeah, I said it…but this isn’t nothing new that is being said. Bahamians say it all the time, especially these set of Bahamians on Bahamas Issues.
They tired of the Church mucking in the countries business. They tired of their ranting and raving: cause the church is all mouth and no teeth right? So perhaps it is right to say, ‘to hell with them.’ It aint like any of their members going to God’s heaven anyway. They ga be right here sweating with the rest of us, right?
So the State and the Church should be seperate. Nothing wrong with that, but should the Church still have an opinion on things. Church people in this Bahamas always have an opinion on things, always claiming its God’s opinion, and that “it is written.” Like they have the rights to God and all His glory.
Nope, God is not Baptist, He aint Seventh Day and He aint Anglican either, earlier in history, some say that God was Catholic, but now in todays world, God may be Buddist, as he is the God of all religions. (Shakes head). So if he is Buddist, then Christianity is definatley wrong, dead wrong; subsequently, our constitution should be changed hence with to perhaps include a Buddist God. A Buddist God…hmmm. an Interesting thought,
But back to the topic. So lets take God out of the Consitutuion. No correction, the Christian God out of the constitution. Yeah back to that preamble thingy again, we in the Bahamas don’t like it, don’t want it, as it reminds us that God is in control. And clearly, God isn’t the boss of us, as we severed that tie long ago. But seriously, the preamble shouldn’t matter right? As the Bahamas is Godless nation. We are a nation of free thinkers and should choose whom we want to serve. We are just people, Bahamian people, not Christian people and we want to be regarded as such. The Bahamas should be for all, not just the Christians. Moreso, the Christians are a minority anyway. It aint like we have hundreds of Christian believers in this country.
But why stop there…Lets stop having these Church meetings at the opening at the Courts, Lets stop having our politicians going to these Church services etc pretending to pay tribute. As we all know they aint Christians, nor do they embrace Christian principles…As to embrace Christian principles, even if you are a sinner, you are duty bound to defend it at all cost.
And yeah, can someone tell me why should we ask the Church to help with the social ills…We have all kinds of Muslims in the Bahamas. Surely they know the answer…lets cut some hands off when people tief. Lets stone some people for fornication, cause certainly the Christian Church does not have the answer. Then to imagine, the Church don’t want let us grind in peace, always telling us that what does feel good is a sin. They mussy mad! How can grinding be wrong…talking bout kids should wait until they married to do foreplay. Man these people with their Christian principles out of touch. I say to hell with them. We need to just edjumacate ah chiren them, that if they going to grind, use rubbers. Sex has nothing to do with Christianity or God. hmmm.
Then these Church people always judging people…always commenting on what type of person should be in politics and what type of people should be in the church choir etc…I say if ya gay and you can sing, I say let him sing is queer, pink wearing heart out on the pulpit…as we in church to only hear the choir anyway.
Man these Church people with their Christian principles have this country mess right up. People can’t even get rich without the Church judging them. We all know life is a hussle, and who give them the moral authority to tell us, what is right from wrong. Next they ga be telling us that a man can’t buy numbers or whatever, he choose to buy late at night on under that lamp pole on Dowdeswell Street. They mussy mad. They mad I say and to hell with them.
